Many different types of natural medicine use herbs as part of their practice.
Herbal remedies may be ingested in many forms, including pills, tablets, teas, tinctures (a liquid extract) and powdered extracts. They may be applied topically in the form of salves (a thick oil-based paste), ointments, liniments (a liquid preparation), compresses (herb solutions soaked into cloth and applied to the body) and poultices (a mash of fresh herbs).
The success of Herbal Medicine has been clearly documented and refined over the centuries.
