How to Reverse Chronic Inflammation - Naturally! :By Maggi Cameron of Bio Beauty.

Chronic Inflammation has long been linked to a wide variety of conditions. Time Magazine wrote an article on chronic inflammation calling it “The Secret Killer” and linked it to many serious diseases.

Now, scientists are finding even more links between chronic inflammation and a wide variety of conditions including:

· Cardio Vascular disease
· Many types of Pain (fibromyalgia-spinal stenosis-arthritis)
· Diabetes
· Cancer
· Alzheimer’s Disease
· Gum disease
· High Blood Pressure
· Eye Problems

What is inflammation? Inflammation is the immune system’s response to traumas like bacterial, viral or parasite infection; stress; metabolic disorders; genetics etc. This is aggravated by free radicals created by the body in an attempt to overcome the damage. Our modern lifestyle contributes to inflammation - poor diet; stress; sedentary life- style; obesity or smoking. Inflammation causes pain; swelling; (erythema (redness), and loss of function.

When the body is functioning correctly, it repairs tissues, and restores balance. However, when the damage can’t be overcome, inflammation continues to increase. Free radicals continue attacking the tissues and damage healthy cells leading to more inflammation, And so the cycle of chronic inflammation develops. This never ending inflammation can leads to chronic disease.

…… Inflammation can worsen your health over time!!

Though you may not see or even feel chronic inflammation, it could be silently causing trouble within your body right now. Over time, it can result in damage: 1) to the injured and inflamed area of your body
2) to your overall health.

Common problems arising from chronic inflammation include:

· Heart Problems –inflammation is thought to contribute to plaque in blood .vessels. This can block blood flow to the brain or heart, resulting in a heart .attack or stroke.

· Brain Problems –chronic inflammation is thought to play a role in Alzheimer’s disease. A common theory is that inflammation kicks into gear due to plaques and tangles in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients.

· Joint Problems – chronic inflammation of the joints contribute to damaged lig.aments; tendons, cartilage and even bone erosion. This causes pain or de.formity and affects quality of life.

· Muscular Problems - Inflammation is one of the most important factors associated with Fibromyalgia. Symptoms include fatigue, pain, muscle spasms, and bowel problems.

· Mouth and Gum Problems – The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, report that inflammation can break down bone and connective tissue that keep teeth in place.

· Emotional Health Problems –Scientists at the University of Illinois discovered that an enzyme secreted by the immune system caused inflammatory-related, de.pression-like symptoms in mice. Researchers believe chronic inflammation is linked with depression.

· Eye Problems - often occur from inflammatory disease affecting other parts of the body including rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, virus, fungus or bacteria..

· Cancer Problems – although researchers haven’t discovered the exact mechanism of inflammation’s role in cancer, according to the American Cancer Society, inflammation creates perfect conditions for cancer cells to multiply.

Can Inflammation be reduced Naturally?

Help is at hand in a variety of ways 1) Betalains: The people of the Sonoran Desert have been using a Cactus containing Betalains (bay´ta lins), known for centuries for its ability to reduce inflammation.

They are found only in a few of the world’s plants. The Nopal Cactus fruit contains one of the highest amounts of Betalains in all of nature.

Betalains are a rare and potent class of antioxidants/anti-inflammatories that flourish in the Nopal cactus fruit of the Sonoran Desert. Recently it has been scientifically proven (in hundreds of studies) that Betalains have strong anti-inflammatory properties. Scientific research shows betalains help to:

Reduce the risk of blood clots – they protect the thin lining of blood vessels.
Reduce bad cholesterol -- Betalains reduce oxidized LDL cholesterol.
Betalains protect cells from toxins known to trigger tumours.
Liver protection -- Betalains protect the liver from toxins.

2) LifeWave Nanotech Acupoint patches are applied to the body along acupuncture principals and have been shown in scientific tests to reverse inflammation. The Y-Age Aeon patch reduced inflammation within 10 minutes in clinical tests. Glutathione is the body's master anti oxidant that declines with age In tests blood glutathione levels rose by 300%. LifeWave technology may be the drug free healing of the future.

3) Diet: As well as adding Betalains to your diet, doctors advise a diet rich in anti-inflammatory foods. Anti –inflammatory foods include fruit, vegetables, olive oil, black tea, ginger, grapes, tuna, salmon and lean white meat. Foods to avoid are fatty food, junk food, white milk, sugar, bread, potatoes, meat (sausage) and trans fats.

Nopal Cactus may reduce Inflammation and Toxins:

With its amazing anti inflammatory Betalains, a wellness drink called ‘Nopalea’ ™ with high betalain content, has been proven to work in two vital ways:

helps neutralize the body’s inner toxins helps reduce chronic inflammation.

Small amounts of Nopalea™, taken daily allow betalains and essential nutrients to enter the cells to reduce inflammation and toxins surrounding affected cells. The Betalains in Nopal Cactus wellness drink harness the power of this ancient desert super fruit to bring scientifically proven health benefits. It is listed with the TGA as a medical drink.

Life Lessons Canoeing The Zabezi: by Sue Lester from Growing Content.

So there we were, canoeing the Zambezi River with Zambia on the left, Zimbabwe on the right, a vast blue sky overhead and monstrous sized crocodiles and pods of hippos lurking beneath us. Being tall I was allocated the back seat, my companion the front and our share of the camping gear and food was piled up between us in that Canadian canoe. That meant I was in control of the steering, with a paddle cut out of plywood.

I didn’t really know what I was doing, but I had an idea of where we were going, and I figured that as long as I worked hard I could work it out as we went along.

So we struck out, paddling hard, nervously dodging the occasional hippo that popped up to breathe. I noticed we were veering left so I paddled harder on the left to correct it, then we were too far over to the right so I paddled harder on the right, and soon we were zig-zagging down the river. Those others who had started at the same time were well ahead now, gliding straight down the river.

Our guide called out something, but I didn’t listen as I was determined to get it right all by myself – I just had to work harder, didn’t I?

So we zig zagged wider and wider, stirring up hippo pods we could have easily avoided if on course. My companion had given up yelling at me and was muttering viciously under her breath. I was getting exhausted but still I battled on in increasing frustration and self doubt.

The guide paddled up to us again and this time I listened – and what a revelation it was. “You are trying too hard! Relax! Go with the flow!” Of course, I was already on the river, I just had to go with the flow, and only make small corrections if we started going off course.

Our guide stayed along side, talking about where we were headed, sharing tips to make better progress and encouraging our efforts. We quickly made up for lost ground, paddling straight for where we wanted to go with little hesitation, watching, listening and learning from those who had gone before us.

And when the hippo erupted out of the river under the canoe in front, our guide quickly settled us and showed us what to do when, so we cleared that obstacle quickly and safely, and got back into our rhythm, albeit sweat soaked with hearts thudding.

Having him beside us made the journey so much easier and more enjoyable, and my companion started smiling at me again. I even had time to notice the scenery and wildlife – and remember I was living my dream!

That guide was my inspiration, and what he did for me, I now do for my coaching clients. Ongoing goal setting, accountability and support, plus of course I have the power of Neuro Linguistic Programming to clear blocks that appear in your path so you can continue your progress smoothly.

So you’ll never again find yourself up the proverbial creek in a barb wire canoe without a paddle!

Brisbane Organ Regeneration Workshop July 2 and 3, 2011: Brisbane CBD.

Organ Regeneration is a very effective healing modality that brings about amazing results which may include re-growing teeth, organs or hair and regenerating internal bodily processes. Serious illnesses can be wound back from the very first cell.

The workshop leaders, Ken and Ann Graydon have complemented many years of healing work by studying the Russian New Knowledge and combining it with other processes from entities such as Seth, Abraham, Kryon and Bashar that allow for each person to quickly adopt these new methods and experience amazing results.

The workshop is primarily directed at people on a healing path and first deals with self-healing, working on others and then, teaching the process. A Certificate of Completion is awarded when workshop participants complete the practical portion of the program.

This healing modality complements the practice of most of the serious healing processes but is not loaded down with restrictions or exclusiveness. Our objective is to share these processes with as many people as possible so that everyone has the opportunity to at least self-heal. One of the main benefits is the freedom it allows. When you no longer have to be a victim of illness you can experience the world in new ways.

Each participant will receive two work books which cover a really wide range of processes from Removing Spiritual Blocks, Regeneration of the Spine, Teeth and Organs, Clearing the Past, Abundance, the Shield of Life, Treating the Treatment [to remove negative side-effects] and a series of Number Codes among many others.

The cost of the workshop is only $250 and more details and registration may be effected by visiting www.healingintention.org where there are a number of testimonials from previous workshops and a secure PayPal button for instant bookings.

The minimum number of registrations needed for the workshop to proceed is twenty – the venue is limited to thirty people so that every person has opportunities to practice and develop confidence in the processes. Ongoing email support is part of the total package. You will need to act quickly to secure a place.

We will look forward to meeting with you and sharing these life-changing processes.

Reduce Your Waistline: By Victoria Gill of Greenapple Wellness Centre!

Building muscle is possible at any age, and since the amount of muscle on our body determines how well we cope with activities of daily living and how much we can eat without putting on weight, research done in this area is critical.

I have discovered that people do not know about the real “why” they need to exercise and the type of exercise they need to do. Many people of 50 years and over are unaware of the slow loss of muscle all over their body as they age, and that this will affect the amount of calories their body will use, that their metabolism will be winding down. This slower metabolism alone will cause weight to creep on, especially around the waistline.

A recently published article in the American Journal of Medicine has nullified the belief that it is impossible to combat this loss of muscle as we age. Researchers at the University of Michigan’s Physical Activity and Exercise Intervention Research Laboratory found that older adults using weights are just as capable of maintaining and even gaining muscle mass as young people are.

When older people, and sedentary people, know that the key to controlling their weight and waistline is to preserve muscle, the reason to exercise becomes clearer.

So, there is a short term and a long term management strategy for weight loss and waistline reduction. The short term strategy is finding some form of exercise that lifts your heartrate and speeds up your metabolism. It needs to be something you will do most days of the week so you get a daily burn up of extra calories during the activity. Walking, cycling, and swimming are examples of the short term management strategy options.

The long term strategy is to halt muscle loss and to do progressive strength work to slowly build up the muscles which will keep the metabolism burning calories all day. The key to this long term strategy is that the strength work must be progressive and varied to stimulate both muscle and bone growth.

How to Detox with Colonics & Raw Food: by Annie O’Moon-Browning of My Health Sanctuary!

We are all born with a certain amount of enzymes in our digestive system. Enzymes are needed on all stages of digestion to adequately break down & absorb our food. http://myhealthsanctuary.com.au/our-services/detoxification-services/23-all-natural-bio-rhythms-detoxification.html As we age our enzymes are depleted through the natural ageing process but more usually through our diet.

All processed, refined, preserved, heavily cooked, fried, junk foods etc.. take a large amount of enzymes to digest. This robs our body of the enzymes we do have & our digestive juices can become weakened, causing a decline in our health. Raw food, especially organic, (www.ripenraworganics.com.au) is rich in enzymes & nutrients. It is filled with fibre & freshness that can't be beaten. It naturally replaces the enzymes we are born with & aids the digestion of any other food we are eating. It stimulates the immune system & helps our bodies to cleanse, repair & heal. It lifts our spirits & improves our libido. And the older we get, the more we need to eat raw foods.

Eating even 1-2 meals per day that are largely raw instantly improves our digestion, vitality & wellness. You will feel fuller faster & naturally want to eat less food! Great for weight management!! http://myhealthsanctuary.com.au/our-services/personal-reinvention/26-weight-loss-a-management.html My heart always skips a beat when I see our senior citizens with their super market trolleys filled with packaged processed denatured foods. And I see their low energy, sluggishness & sadness. I always want to go up to them & talk about the benefits of introducing even a little fresh raw food into their diets.

The concern over lack of protein in the diet is easily addressed by the daily consumption of some of the Raw 'Super' foods. 'Super' protein seems to be more easily assimilated & therefore more bioavailable! EG: Spirulina contains 61-75% protein (the highest concentration of protein found in any food! Bee pollen has 25% protein (that's gram for gram 5-7x the protein found in eggs meat or cheese!! AFA algae contain 60% protein. (this super food contains 18 amino acids in a highly assimilable glycoprotein & amino acid peptide form instead of the lipoproteinform in animal product)

The consumption of raw foods actually INCREASES your energy. The trick is to eat a little often!!! The cleansing refreshing action of raw food lessens the need for your body to expend energy in digestion. This energy is naturally then available to you for all other activities. http://myhealthsanctuary.com.au/our-services/colon-hydrotherapy.html Committing to a detox program with Colon Hydrotherapy & eating lots of raw food is vital in increasing your vitality, improving your performance & if you are unwell assisting your return to vibrant health. Having regular Colonics, Green Smoothies & Raw Food gives you that unbeatable 'WOW' factor & allows for natural vitality to take the place of ill health!!!
